BASIC PURPOSE: The Accounts Payable Call Center Associate responds to Accounts Payable Call Center inquiries regarding invoices and ensures resolution of outstanding issues. This role is responsible for effectively researching and communicating the status of invoices and payments, as well as invoice requirements, policies and procedures. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: • Ensure invoice inquiries from external vendors and Business Units are accepted and resolved timely and effectively • Understand and communicate Phillips 66 invoicing requirements, policies and procedures to external and internal parties • Work closely and effectively with the Payables organization to ensure full and timely resolution of issues • Ensure the appropriate documentation is in place regarding the issues and their resolution • Work during core hours for the Accounts Payable Call Center Line (7:30am - 4:30pm) and ensure appropriate coverage on the line during absences Basic/Required: • Legally authorized to work in the United States • High School Diploma/GED • Previous work experience Preferred Skills/Competencies: (for career map/job family, see career guide) • Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field • Accounting hours • 1+ years call center experience • 1+ years customers service experience • 1+ years using Excel and SAP • Communication -- Good written and verbal skills. Able to share knowledge, expertise and opinions in a professional manner. Able to maintain poise during difficult conversations with external or internal parties • Technical Expertise -- Strong problem-solving skills with an 'attention to detail' orientation. Ability to understand how work group relates to the function or business unit. Ability to learn and apply established work or administrative procedures. Strong systems aptitude and an ability to become proficient with software utilized by work group for most work tasks. • Results Oriented - Ability to prioritize effectively and handle heavy or varied work loads. Work effectively with minimal supervision. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement. • Interpersonal Skills -- Team player with strong teamwork/collaboration skills. Ability and willingness to communicate with a wide variety of individuals. Ability to effectively network and promote sharing of information and ideas. • Accountability -- Take ownership of assigned tasks. Ensure personal results are achieved. Establish appropriate coverage during absence from the office. Perform tasks independently. Use company time conscientiously and be flexible in handling unexpected situations.
