When I moved to Oklahoma some 20 years ago, I was having trouble finding a good job on my own.

When I first moved to Bartlesville in March of 2000 one of my first priorities as a single mom was finding a job, and finding it fast! Like most people I looked at classifieds in the local paper, applied for a couple openings, but I needed more opportunities than that alone could afford so I went to Career Employment Service.

One of the things that impressed me the most about Career was that Carmen Stanton, the owner, took the time to personally interview all applicants. This wasn’t just to assess their skills and talents, this was also to understand their needs and determine what current job openings would best fit them personally. Within a few days I had several interviews and within a week a job at the Bartlesville Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB)! It was a great blessing to me and my family.

After eight years with the CVB I resigned my position due to my husband’s work shifting him to Houston. Once his assignment was over and we returned to Bartlesville in 2012 I again contacted Carmen about a new job and within a week was interviewing and being offered my current job as an Executive Assistant with Service & Technology Corporation.

My ongoing experience with Career Employment has been richly rewarding in that each position I have been given has become permanent and long term. When anyone is looking for a job I always refer them to Carmen or Jim. That includes my two sons who are currently working through Career Employment Service and thoroughly enjoying their positions with DSR.

When I moved to Dewey, Oklahoma 16 years ago, I went to Career Employment Service to find employment. I didn’t know anyone or have any information on the businesses in the Bartlesville area.
