Position Summary
Career Employment Service is partnering with a respected healthcare organization to hire an experienced Director of Revenue Cycle – Patient Accounting. This leadership role oversees all aspects of patient financial services, including hospital and professional billing, cash posting, and accounts receivable management.
The ideal candidate will drive strategic and operational performance across the revenue cycle, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely billing and collections while improving cash flow and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily patient accounting operations, including Epic-based billing, follow-up, payment posting, and AR resolution
- Oversee claim submission and remittance processes using Epic Resolute HB/PB tools
- Manage Epic workflows, automation tools, and work queues to maximize efficiency
- Supervise and develop managers and supervisors within the revenue cycle team
- Monitor KPIs such as Days in AR, denial rates, clean claim rate, and cash collections
- Utilize Epic dashboards and reporting tools to identify trends and drive improvements
- Collaborate with IT, Revenue Integrity, Compliance, and clinical teams
- Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines, state regulations, and payer requirements
- Participate in Epic upgrades, optimization projects, and system governance
- Manage departmental budget and identify ROI opportunities
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in hospital and professional billing within an Epic environment
- Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle and patient accounting processes
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Proficiency in Epic Resolute (HB/PB) and related systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required
