Position Summary
Career Employment Service is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial accounting operations for a large, multi-entity organization. This leadership role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

The Accounting Manager will lead a team, support strategic financial initiatives, and play a key role in budgeting, audits, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Review monthly financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness
• Evaluate financial data and recommend process improvements
• Participate in budget planning and financial forecasting
• Coordinate general ledger activity and ensure accurate posting of transactions
• Support annual audit processes, including preparation of workpapers and auditor coordination
• Prepare tax-related documentation and filings as required
• Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff while managing workflow
• Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
• Assist leadership with financial analysis, reporting, and special projects
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including annual physical inventory
• Validate month-end and year-end financial data

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory or management experience required
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and accounting systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of healthcare accounting experience preferred
• CPA certification preferred
