Position Summary
Career Employment Service is seeking an experienced System Director – Laundry & Linen Services for a healthcare leadership opportunity in the Tulsa area.
This position oversees the planning, operations, and logistics of laundry and linen services, ensuring high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, safety, quality, and operational efficiency. The Director will also oversee staff, budgets, equipment, transportation, client relationships, and departmental performance.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM–1:30 PM
- Hours may vary based on operational needs
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily laundry and linen operations and logistics
- Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and sanitation standards
- Oversee linen, supply, cleaning solution, and equipment inventory
- Manage equipment maintenance and operational readiness
- Develop and conduct employee safety training
- Monitor KPIs for safety, quality, productivity, scheduling, and customer satisfaction
- Oversee transportation logistics and delivery routes
- Develop and manage departmental budgets
- Analyze operational data and report results to leadership
- Interview, hire, evaluate, and manage staff
- Support business development and client relationships
- Maintain compliance with applicable DOT, OSHA, TJC, and HLAC standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial or healthcare laundry experience with leadership experience required
- Experience in acute care or long-term care environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of laundry equipment functionality and repair
- Advanced knowledge of cleaning and sanitation requirements
- Working knowledge of ERP tools, Microsoft Office, and linen management software
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple operational priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Certified Laundry and Linen Manager or Registered Laundry and Linen Director through the Association for Linen Management (ALM) preferred
