Position Summary
Career Employment Service is partnering with a leading healthcare organization to hire an Internal Audit Manager. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining internal audit standards, leading audits across the organization, and ensuring strong internal controls, compliance, and operational efficiency.
This position also plays a key role in developing audit strategies, supporting external audits, and overseeing sales and use tax recovery processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct operational, financial, and compliance audits to evaluate internal controls and workflows
- Track and report on management action plans and remediation efforts
- Develop internal audit policies, procedures, and annual audit plans
- Maintain awareness of evolving audit standards and ensure organizational compliance
- Lead and support special projects requiring audit insight and oversight
- Develop continuous monitoring tools to improve audit efficiency and coverage
- Assist with external audits, including federal single audit requirements
- Oversee sales and use tax recovery processes and ensure regulatory compliance
- Supervise and mentor internal audit staff
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of public accounting or internal audit experience
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Working knowledge of internal audit standards and practices
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) required
