Position Summary
Career Employment Service is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a direct hire opportunity in a Cardiac Surgical Stepdown Unit. This position is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while utilizing the nursing process to support positive patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience providing care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ functional status and response to treatment
- Organize and provide patient care while considering age, cultural, and psychosocial factors
- Accurately document all aspects of patient care and nursing interventions
- Utilize appropriate medical terminology and maintain detailed clinical records
- Facilitate patient discharge through education, referrals, and care coordination
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
- Support unit and organizational goals through professional development and compliance with standards of care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse License or valid multistate RN license
- Knowledge of disease state management, clinical pathways, and patient care practices
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
