Position Summary
Career Employment Service is seeking experienced Respiratory Therapists for opportunities in the Tulsa area. These positions provide respiratory care to patients in both critical and non-critical care settings, including respiratory treatments, airway management, mechanical ventilation, and emergency response.
The ideal candidate has critical care experience and is comfortable providing respiratory care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Schedule
- Night Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:50 AM
- Day shift may also be considered
- Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient respiratory status and provide appropriate treatments and interventions
- Administer respiratory medications, aerosol therapy, medical gases, and other prescribed treatments
- Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
- Assist with intubation, extubation, suctioning, and bronchoscopy procedures
- Monitor patient response to treatments and ventilator setting changes
- Respond to Code Blue and rapid response situations
- Verify physician orders and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Educate and support patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and mentoring of new team members
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
- Valid Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License, provisional license, or temporary authorization to practice
- CRT or RRT credential through the NBRC required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum one year of ICU experience in an Adult ICU or PICU required
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to respond effectively to changing patient conditions and emergencies
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are a plus
