Position Summary
Career Employment Service is seeking a Client Systems Administrator to support Epic client systems within a healthcare environment. This fully remote role is responsible for maintaining system performance, security, and reliability across production and non-production environments.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Epic Hyperspace clients, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage system updates, upgrades, and performance in a complex healthcare IT environment.
Schedule & Compensation
- 100% Remote
- Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-call support required (24/7 via pager/phone)
- After-hours and weekend participation required
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Epic client system servers and applications
- Support Epic Hyperspace client environments, including deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Monitor system performance and resolve client-side issues (performance, connectivity, printing, access)
- Apply patches, updates, and security enhancements
- Manage backups, perform restore testing, and support disaster recovery processes
- Maintain system security, user access, and compliance standards
- Support Citrix, VMware Horizon, and VDI environments
- Coordinate after-hours maintenance and Epic upgrades
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and database teams
- Participate in capacity planning and system optimization efforts
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Perform root cause analysis and support incident/problem management processes
- Test and validate system updates and enhancements
- Utilize ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) for tracking and resolution
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of related systems administration experience
- Experience supporting Epic Hyperspace client environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server environments
- Experience with Citrix and/or VMware Horizon required
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field required
- Epic Client Systems Manager Certification OR Epic Client Systems Administrator Certification required (at time of submission)
