Good benefits after hire. Opens screening lanes and turns on diagnostic equipment, prepares exam rooms for use each business day morning. Closes the same each evening. Brings patient from waiting room to screening lanes and obtains medical history. Brings patient to exam room and prepares them for exam; Assists doctor with exam; types medical notes on computer templates; prints visit record; identifies diagnosis and procedure codes on charge sheet. Assist on surgery days as workload allows. As workload permits, helps with telephone overflow from front desk - appointments, messages, and pulling/filing charts for weekly schedule.
